Picture with Santa

Waiting to sit on Santa Lap....

So we wanted to make sure Ashlyn sat on Santa lap since it is her 1st Christmas. Boy! did we wait to the last minute to do so. We got in the line at 3:50 p.m. and waited till 5 p.m. and then it was Santa dinner break for and hour. Jared was ready to go but I told him we waited this long we need to wait so that Ashlyn gets her 1st picture with Santa. Ashlyn was a good sport even though we waited for several hours. Here are some of the pictures as we waited.

This picture below is my favorite. This is Ashlyn new thing she does with her lips and along with some noise of course.

The Snow is Out of Control......

We are going on 2 weeks of snow now and it hasn't let up. The forecast states it will continue to snow for the rest of the week. No doubt we won't have snow for Christmas. Since Jared hasn't gotten out to clear the driveway since he had been sick we decided it was probably time to do so. As we opened our garage we noticed a van behind the car. It happened to be the Mail Carrier who had gotten stuck in the snow. Jared helped dig her tires out so that she could at least back up and turn around. She decided to go up the street that was cleared before ours and come down the hill instead of trying to go upwards.

It was really cold that Ashlyn only got to stay outside for just a little while.

There was so much snow that the mail carrier couldn't get to the mailboxes.

Our car was so deep in snow.

Our neighbor Jay Watkins came and helped get the driveway cleared. We were able to at least get the car into the garage. Look how high the snow got.

Thank goodness for snow blowers. Jay was able to start clearing the driveway and it would blow the snow out into the yard instead of back into the driveway. If we didn't have his help Jared would probably be still shoveling. It was almost impossible to clear it with just a snow shovel.

Still Snowing.....

Jared had to go and dig the dogs out so that they can get out of the doggie door. The snow is up to my knees in the backyard.

They all decided to come out as Jared was clearing the path for them.

Daisy decided she would go back in and Rosco P'Coltrane protected the door.

Rosco decided he would try to go out and explore in the snow.

Getting bundled up......

We had to return our movie we rented from the Red box. So after she finished her dinner we got bundled up to go out in that crazy cold weather. She doesn't mind it to much.

Tummy Time.....

So Jared has been sick with a head cold for about a week and today was the first time that he had a chance to be around Ashlyn. So he decided to do some tummy time with her and have fun. Jared didn't want Ashlyn to get sick so he has been upstairs a lot avoiding contact with us. He placed Ashlyn on her tummy and all of a sudden she just started laughing so hard. I asked Jared what was she laughing at and he said he didn't know. So here are some pictures of her. She didn't seem to mind tummy time today.
