The evening with Paw Paw McKee.......

So my dad called and said the credit union was putting on their annual work event were they serve jambalaya and give out door prizes. He stated that just about everyone who attends goes home with something. Well the babies and I didn't have anything going on and Jared was at work so we decided to join my dad for the evening. Plus, my dad's been working so much that we hadn't seen him since Easter and I thought it would be good for the kids to see him. Well lets just say our little Ashlyn who never meets a stranger sure did enjoy herself and do her thing. My dad would shake the people's hand that he worked with and right there Ashlyn by his side thought she should do the same thing. So she would raise her hand to them to grab her and hand to shake it and once they did she would laugh. It was cute to watch. Well later as they were calling ticket numbers for the door prizes. Ashlyn decided she would take it easy on the floor and drink her juice. She actually looked pretty comfortable doing.

By the way, I won $75 in cash. As Jared says, I have the best of luck. He said he thought to his self before work this morning watch, Keri put her mind up to going and I bet she comes home with something because she always does.

Ashlyn is now 22 months and weighs 21 lbs.

Anderson was a trooper. He was a really good baby and sat in Paw Paw McKee lap. He really enjoyed the dinner. He ate the jambalaya, green beans and roll. You think with his stomach hanging over his pants he was full but as we sat there he kept trying to grab the food off the people's plate sitting on the side of us. Lets just say that he is a garbage disposal and Jared says he spends most of his time in the high chair feeding his face. This is true. But we love this little guy. Anderson is now 10 months and he weighs 17 lbs now.

Dying Easter Eggs

So earlier today we had a big Easter Egg Hunt with family and friends and the kids had a blast. Later that day once everyone left we got back together at my sister Sheri's house and let the kids dye eggs together. This was a big deal for Ashlyn this year because she really got into it. The only thing is that she got really mad and cried a few times as you will see in the pictures because she kept trying to drink the colored vinegar off the spoon. She was successful in doing this a few times when I caught her at the end of doing so. I was so worried she was going to end up with a stomach ache.

They were all so excited to get all of their eggs colored.
MeMe trying to show Ashlyn how to dye the eggs.
Ashlyn really thought this was cool.

As you can see Ashlyn has a busted lip. She was left with my mom the night before and we came home to a wounded child.
Ashlyn was more interested in taking the eggs out of the cups.

This one above she just has took a sip of the vinegar. It didn't seem to faze her but I didn't make a big deal this time.

She really got the hang of taking them out herself.

This is after I got onto Ashlyn for trying to sip the vinegar again.

Melt down again. Just didn't understand why she couldn't drink it.

Ashlyn was ready for bed. As you can see the nuk, blankie and sippy which is what she has to have every night to go to bed.
